Medical Telemetry Units
In the Medical Telemetry units of Providence Medical Center, the nursing staff works closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to partner with patients and their families to achieve excellent clinical outcomes while exceeding their service expectations.
Patients with a broad spectrum of diagnoses receive comprehensive medical and nursing care that encompasses national standards of best practice and includes EKG monitoring, diagnostic testing, medications, surgical intervention, rehabilitation services, and more. Patients are cared for in one of the three Medical Telemetry units located on the 5th and 6th floors of the hospital, in a private-room setting, by a nursing staff that participates in ongoing education to attain and maintain the highest levels of knowledge and skills. Many of the registered nurses are nationally certified in Medical-Surgical nursing and, in addition, a dedicated group of RNs are nationally certified in the provision of chemotherapy and work with the entire care team to provide specialized care to our cancer patients and their families.
