Awards are a recognition that what we do and how we do it, every day, truly matters.
Providence Medical Center has achieved the Healthgrades 2020 America’s
250 Best Hospitals Award™. The distinction places Providence in
the top 5 percent of nearly 4,500 hospitals assessed nationwide for its
superior clinical performance as measured by
Healthgrades, the leading resource that connects consumers, physicians and health systems.
Providence was also recently recognized by Healthgrades for top 5% in the
nation for Critical Care (2020); Overall GI Services (3 years in a row);
Overall Orthopedic Services (2020-2 years in a row); and Patient Safety
(2017-2019). New awards for Providence in 2020 include being the recipient
of the Health grades 2020 Stroke Care Excellence Award; being named among
the top 10” % in the nation for Treatment of Stroke (2020); and
Five-Star recipient for the Treatment of Stroke (2020).
Providence also received Five-Star recognition in Spinal Fusion (14 years
in a row), Hip Fracture Treatment (4 years in a row); Treatment of Pneumonia
(4 years in a row); Pacemaker Procedures (3 years in a row); Treatment
of GI Bleed(3 years in a row); Treatment of Bowel Obstruction (3 years
in a row); Treatment of Pancreatitis (4 Years in a row); Gallbladder Removal
Surgery (5 years in a row); Treatment of Sepsis (5 years in a row); Esophageal/Stomach
Surgeries (2 years in a row); and Carotid Surgery (2 years in a row).

Providence Medical Center has received the
American College of Cardiology’s NCDR ACTION Registry–GWTG
Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2015. Providence is one of only 319 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor.
The award recognizes Providence’s commitment and success in implementing
a higher standard of care for heart attack patients and signifies that
Providence has reached an aggressive goal of treating these patients to
standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American
Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations.
