HealthgradesProvidence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, member of Prime Healthcare, achieved the Healthgrades 2021 America’s 250 Best Hospitals Award, a distinction that places them among the top five percent of nearly 4,500 hospitals assessed nationwide. Time and time again, these hospitals distinguish themselves as among the best in the nation. This year marks the third consecutive year for Saint Mary’s and the fourth for Providence to receive this award.

Providence Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, has been named to the Fortune/IBM 100 top hospital awardWatson Health 100 Top Hospitals list in 2020. This is the first time the Medical Center has been recognized with this honor as one of the top performing medium community hospital in the U.S.

Providence has achieved the Healthgrades 2020 America’s 250 Best Hospitals Award™. Providence was also recently recognized by Healthgrades Providence Medical Center was recognized by Healthgrades for top 5% in the nation for Orthopedic Services (3 years in a row); and Overall GI Services (4 years in a row); and Patient Safety (2017-2020). Providence was also a recipient of the Healthgrades Critical Care Award (4 years in a row) and was named among the top 10 percent in the nation for Critical Care (4 years in a row).

Providence was also named a Five-Star Recipient for Treatment of Stroke (for 2 years). Providence also received Five-Star recognition in Spinal Fusion (15 years in a row), Hip Fracture Treatment (5 years in a row); Treatment of Pneumonia (5 years in a row); Pacemaker Procedures (4 years in a row); Treatment of GI Bleed (4 years in a row); Treatment of Pancreatitis (5 Years in a row); Gallbladder Removal Surgery (6 years in a row); Treatment of Sepsis (6 years in a row); Esophageal/Stomach Surgeries (2 years in a row); and Carotid Surgery (3 years in a row).
