Jennifer Cannon

Jennifer Cannon Chief Nursing OfficerIn her position as Chief Nursing Officer, Jennifer Cannon leads patient care services including nursing, nursing education, pharmacy and clinical informatics at Providence. Cannon has more than 20 years of experience in a wide range of nursing positions.

Past roles for Cannon have included staff nurse in Skilled Nursing, telemetry and ICU; a Charge nurse on Skilled Nursing and Telemetry units; Critical Care Clinical Supervisor; Clinical Supervisor of Surgical Acute and Joint and Spine Centers; Director of Medical Surgical Services; and Director of Nursing.

Cannon received a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Mid America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan., a BSN from St. Mary’s University, Leavenworth Kan., and her Associates degree in Nursing from Kansas City Kansas Community College. She has her PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse) certification from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN).

Cannon is a member of the Kansas City Association of Nurse Executives(KCANE).
